Julia Joyce, M.Ed.-- My Story
My passion for this work began in 1988, I was 8 years old. I had no idea that I wanted to be a consultant, but I did know what it felt like to be different and a bit lost. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia. I left the only school I had ever known to attend to a special school for children with Learning Disabilities. I later returned to my former school but a grade level behind my friends. Fast forward to 10th grade when I was identified as having AD/HD-Inattentive type. This journey brought ups and downs and periods of feeling different. However, the people who walked with me on the journey to help me find success are the reasons I embarked on a career-long journey to do the same, first in the classroom, and now by creating my own business. My own experience brought change, transformation, and wisdom, all characteristics or representation of the Grey Owl, hence the name.

Note: I am putting my shoes on the wrong foot which is developmentally appropriate, but for a neurodivergent individual there is a whole story behind this moment. All of us have a story. It is a privilege when others share there stories.
